Upcoming event : Aga Khan Sports day! Stay tuned!

The Arts and Culture Family Day is more than just an event; it is a journey through time, guiding young minds through the shared history and culture that unites us as one people. The museum showcase will provide an immersive experience where children can explore artifacts, instruments, and traditions that, though named differently across Africa, serve the same purpose and reflect our deep connections as a people. This event aims to immerse children aged 3-14 in a diverse cultural experience, allowing them to explore Africa’s rich heritage through interactive learning, music, art, and storytelling. Don’t let them miss out on the memories, creativity, and cultural pride—this is a family day to remember!

Bruno’s Pottery and Ceramics Studio

We are honored to welcome the renowned Dr.Bruno Sserunkuuma to the Skoolies Arts and Culture Family Fun Day. Dr. Bruno’s work is a captivating reflection of Ugandan life, creatively expressed through stylized clay figures and traditional vessel forms. Drawing from Uganda’s rich cultural heritage, he uses locally sourced Ngombe clay and fuses old Indian-Ugandan batik styles with his own bold, graphical flair. Bruno’s pottery and ceramics studio will offer interactive sessions including pot painting, and pot making — giving the younger generation a hands-on experience with this timeless art form. We are privileged to have such a master artisan join us!

 Ewaffe Cultural Village

Get ready for a journey through Uganda’s traditions with the vibrant Ewaffe Cultural Village. Their immersive experience brings you the sounds, tastes, and sights of Uganda through cultural dress showcases, food preparation demos, pottery workshops, ekyoto (children’s fire storytelling circles), and more. Blending food tourism with cultural education, Ewaffe presents a powerful way for families to connect with heritage. It’s an absolute honor to have them at our event, creating memories and sparking cultural pride in every child and parent alike.
